Manasseh was the 13th king of Judah, and he reigned for 55 years. He practiced idolatry and led the whole nation of Judah into idolatry. He committed all types of evil that the Lord had warned against. But when the Lord punished him, he repented and humbled himself. God heard his cry and not only forgave him, but restored him to the throne. We might ask where God’s justice is in all this. God granted Manasseh grace, and his sin was ultimately paid for by Jesus sacrifice. This story reminds us that God’s grace is greater than all our sin.
