THE COVENANTS: The New Covenant continued: Two other Major Prophecies; Isaiah 61:1-11; Ezekiel 36:22-38; Church-age believers: Hebrews does not say the New Covenant is fulfilled in the church. It twice states, rather, that the New Covenant belongs to "The House of Israel". Hebrews refers to the New Covenant to show that the Law of Moses was temporary and that the Old Testament promised it would be abolished and replaced by another covenant. The writer of Hebrews indicated that the New Testament believer partakes of the spiritual blessing of the New Covenant thru Christ. The New Covenant will be fulfilled literally in Israel following the church age.
