As we continue our study of the Gospel of Mark we come to a couple sections that approach the subject of keeping the Sabbath Day and how that applies to our keeping the New Testament Sabbath, the Lord's Day.
We will see that the principle focus of Jesus' teaching on the Sabbath is on the positive, what we should do to keep the Sabbath Day. The observation is made that passivity does not fulfil the Sabbath. It is fulfilled when we use it for good, when gather and worship, when we think, reflect and learn the will of God and purpose to do it.
