Most of the students come from the Micronesian islands, study the Bible at PIU, and then go back to their islands to reintroduce the Bible and the Gospel in their communities.The missionaries serving at PIU come from various evangelical backgrounds, including Presbyterians, Christian Reformed, Baptists, Christian Missionary and Alliance, and German evangelicals.
