Fellowship Baptist Church of Coney Island 2929 west 20th Street Brooklyn, N.Y. 11224 Phone: (718)-372-5022 Website: coneyfbc.com Sermon Outline for Sunday, November 16, 2014 Senior Pastor R. Rubino Back Up Your Words! (T.G. 23) I Text: “10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)
II Doctrine: Christianity shines because of the way we treat all people. Throughout History Christians who actually follow the commands of the Bible stop the mouths of their enemies. Jesus Christ commanded us to even love our enemies when the opportunity arose. Christians must never forget their own people while trying to rescue the World.
III Reasons: 1. Unique to the Christian faith is our Lord’s command to love our enemies. (Matthew 5:43-48) 2. The ultimate act of loving our enemy is telling them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:16-29) 3. Mature Christians will make sure fellow Christians are their first priority.(2 Corinthians 11:7-15)
IV Application: 1. “Spiritually” assault the enemies in your life with Scripture. (1 Samuel 24:8-20) 2. Let the light of Christ shine in you by helping your neighbor. 3. Attend Church expecting to give, rather than receive. (Acts 20:28-35)
