This message was preached in 2008. I am not a prophet, nor do I lay claim to having the ability to predict the future. But I am a student of God's Word and history. When this message was preached, George W. Bush was President of the United States. The burden that I felt then, I feel more intensely now. If we look at the judgment sections of Scripture, we see warnings about disease, food shortages, war, and a civilization being given over to lawlessness and chaos (e.g. Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28).

Darkening, chaos, and economic woes have continued. Famine has increased around the world, even though there has been a divine holding back on food shortages in America. Nevertheless, the warning to prepare for great trouble is still relevant, even more relevant today than four years ago.
