As Job continues his defense agianst his friends, he remains adamant that is not guilty of living unrighteously. However, Job knows how precarious his situation is if he decides to seek to argue his case before God. This really is the context of understanding v. 15 of chapter 13 which begins with the acknowledgment "Though he slay me..." But Job is not detered and is determined to argue his case before God becasue he knows he is not like the wicked who for sure cannot stand before the sovereign Lord.
