Before dealing with the topic of divorce, this message begins with an extensive explanation of how we are right with God solely by God's grace in Jesus Christ.
While God forgives divorce, he still hates it and the pain that it causes others, particularly children. We must guard our hearts from falling in love with someone to whom we are not married. (I made a wrong observation about the correct translation of 1 Corinthians 6:16 in this message, but I have not removed the comment.)
Because of the questions that people have on the issue, the message was continued during the evening service with opportunities for questions from the congregation. During the evening two-part session, among other issues, I addressed the importance of sexual intercourse to a healthy marriage.
