Now we are slaves of God and righteousness. We live to serve God however He desires. Every Christian is also by definition a disciple of Christ, so following His example is of paramount importance in fulfilling the purpose of our existence. This includes His model of servant leadership because God has placed upon every one of us a responsibility to lead others to one degree or another in using the gifts and abilities He has granted to us. Every Christian is to be a servant leader as was Jesus.
