We need to give thanks daily to Christ for all of our blessings from him. Why do we give thanks? This question is answered through the scripture passage: Psalm 111. 1) Give praise. Our speech should glorify God always, not just on Sundays. Each day we are to share of the goodness of God. 2) God never makes a mistake for all of his ways are correct. All of his deeds are glorious and majestic and his righteousness endures forever. We are to declare his glory. 3) God is gracious and compassionate. We are saved by God's grace. God is a God of great love and He shows this by sending his Son into the world. God is also daily active in his creation and provides us with all that we have by his grace. 4) God's power is against the evil of this world. We only stand by God's hand. God provides us with what we need. No one can outdo God's plan for this world. If the church remains faithful, we will be triumphant. God is on His throne! 5) God sent redemption to his people. Salvation is given by God, for God calls people to himself. 6) Godly wisdom comes from studying God's Word. We learn what God expects of us. The Bible is a treasure from God.
