Sermon Title: Christ Our Mediator
Theme: Christ, who is eternally God, became man to atone for man's sin in His human nature, upheld by the power of His divine nature, giving us righteousness and life.
1. Christ is the Word made flesh, because a true, righteous man must atone for man's sin.
2. Christ must be the Word, God, to truly endure and satisfy God's wrath for man's sin.
3. Christ the Word made flesh alone qualifies to be man's Mediator and our redemption.
4. The whole Bible is Gospel, good news, revealing Christ in Eden, to the patriarchs, through the prophets, through the temple worship and law, finally fulfilled in His flesh. |
