Fellowship Baptist Church of Coney Island 2929 west 20th Street Brooklyn, N.Y. 11224 Phone: (718)-372-5022 Website: coneyfbc.com Sermon Outline for Sunday, November 9, 2014 Senior Pastor R. Rubino Fight Until The Bell Rings! (T.G. 22) Text: “9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9) Doctrine: In most cases the Christian life is a Marathon type race, not a sprinting event. We must be prepared to conduct ourselves as Christians for a long time. We must fight the good fight and stay on the straight and narrow path. Our Father in Heaven expects His Army on Earth to fight until the end of time.
Reasons:
1.The Lord Jesus Christ instructed Disciples to develop a life of spiritual endurance. Hence the phrase “He that overcometh…” (Revelation 3:14-21)
2.Regardless of age, finances, or family background, our God expects His covenant people to finish well. (1 Kings 11:1-13 vs. 2 Timothy 4:1-8)
3.The Church like our Messiah must strive for the Gospel regardless of the circumstances! (Matthew 28:16-20)
Application:
1.If you have strayed off course in your life, get back on track and finish well. (Luke 15:11-32)
2.If your Church is falling away contend for the faith. (Titus 1:10-16)
3.If your Nation is falling away proclaim the Gospel loud and clear. (Acts 2:29-36)
