1. What is a faithful Ambassador? 2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV) 20Â Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. An Ambassador is a Representative of the Ruler of a Kingdom, and in the case of Christianity, we are "ambassadors for Christ." All Ambassadors are instructed in the desires, and wishes of the King, and they are commanded to follow the dictates, mandates and decree's of the king/ruler. A faithful ambassador is appointed to be the representative of the interest, and glory of the king, and commissioned to do so with the authority of the King. All Christians are Ambassadors as sent our missionaries into the world who are commanded to represent Christ in Life, Word, and Deed. Weather you like it or not, all Christians are appointed, chosen or elected, and God say's that this election was based upon his sovereign decree, before the foundation of the world. Spurgeon said " If Jesus is precious to you, you will not be able to keep your good news to yourself. You will be whispering it into your child's ear. You will be telling it to your husband. You will be earnestly imparting it to your friend. Without the charms of eloquence you will be more than eloquent: your heart will speak, and your eyes will flash as you talk of His sweet love. Every Christian here is either a missionary or an impostor."
