The raising of Lazarus from the dead is the final and most spectacular of these seven signs. By Jesus’ spoken command, life returned to the lifeless body of Lazarus. The decaying cellular structure of this man’s body was instantly reanimated, restored to full function. His inactive heart and brain instantly came back into action. Everything that distinguishes life from death was restored by a word from Jesus. Jesus proved that He has the power to create life. He is the resurrection and the life. We have real life now and resurrection life in the future because of Jesus Christ alone.
