We look at verses 18 through 25 in Romans chapter 1 and see that Paul establishes a contrast between true believers in Rome and those who have rejected the manifest revelation of the Creator God and have turned to lies, holding truth in unrighteousness.
We reference several texts including Jude 4, Psalm 19:1-3, Job 12:1 & 7-8, Psalm 14:1 and 2 Timothy 3:5.
The best commentary on the Bible is the Bible itself.
One major truth found in this study is the clear fact that while salvation is the free gift of grace, it does not produce a liberty to live in sin. By contrast, the Biblical truth is that true libery is freedom FROM the power of sin.
Of course, we must qualify such statements by pointing out that Christians do sin, but that this is not unrepentant, willful rebellion--a mark of a reprobate, not a believer.
This and much more waits for the listener in this study.
