'As the apostle says to Timothy, so also he says to everyone, 'Give yourself to reading.' He who will not use the thoughts of other men's brains proves that he has no brains of his own. You need to read. Renounce as much as you will all light literature, but study as much as possible sound theological works, especially the Puritanic writers, and expositions of the Bible. The best way for you to spend your leisure is to be either reading or praying.'

Great Sermon! Thanks for making this series available, an outstanding three part series that all need to hear.

Thanks! I wanted these sermons! I was hoping someone would load this sermon on Sermon Audio. I have known about it for years, but didn't know there were three parts. {To be honest, these sermons are not easy to listen to, they are quite sobering}. Within the last month I hinted to someone that they should put these on S.A. and nothing came of it. Now you have made my day by finding and uploading them. If only we could access more of Gerstner's teaching. Especially his seminary class, 12 lectures, on Jonathan Edwards! Gerstner was another 20th century puritan in his preaching.
