Great Sermon! I always thought that AUDY MURPHY was a real hero. but toward the end of his life the press was very negative about him.

Great Sermon! Brother Jim, I'm a young 63 but can relate somewhat to the the things you have been talking about during this message. My Dad served in North Africa during WW2 with the South African forces in the Eighth Army. In the battle of Sidi Reze he was one of 50 to survive the day of the 300 men in 5th Field Engineer's company. In the battle for El Alamein he was wounded having the right side of his face burned away loosing his right eye. My dad l love but at times he like your Dad did wild things in civilian life after the war, like stealing and shooting and fighting. Like you I grew up on a small 10 acre plot deep in bush living of our vegetables and oranges. At the age of five we had to drag a long hose pipe from Orange Tree to orange tree. We were allowed to use the rifles. Our water came from a windmill over a hand dug well heated in a 44 gallon drum over a wood fire. My mother did her very best for us boys. I would not have missed my days in Northern Rhodesia 55 to 1965 for all the money in the world. Now we have more than we could ever want or need.
