The question & deception of Infant Baptism has been a source of confusion to endless people who have approached me on the issue for as long as I can remember. Often I run into people living Godless lives who make their claim to Christianity & heaven based on their "infant baptism." This seems to run contrary to the gospel itself. The short answer is that "infant baptism" is not found anywhere in the Bible. Infant baptism was a way for state-religions to exercise power by way of declaring someone its member. The rationale for Christians who practice this today is that baptism is a New Tetament replacement of Old Testament circumcism. This is an unnecessary stretching of scripture.
