Inanimate objects and pagans can be sanctified in this way by God, too. However, the most important anointing was carried out on Jesus, a Holy Spirit work which set him apart as 🔸Prophet—and more than a prophet 🔸Priest—but the Great High Priest 🔸King—but the King of Kings. In a reflection of this, God's elect people are likewise anointed for God's service, and we are to glorify him in all we do.
