Jesus said that no one lights a candle and puts it under a bushel, or under a bed. He said that we that are saved are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." To glorify God is to honor Him and to live in a way that counters all the lies and evil that Satan has put into the hearts of men about God. To glorify God is not to make some kind of big showing for ourselves, but to live, speak, and behave in such a way as to cause those who hate God to abandon the lies and misconceptions they have about Him. This is the supreme purpose of our lives here until God calls us home.
