This encounter with children and parents is recorded not only in Luke but also in Mark (10:13-16) and Matthew (19:13-15). Among the many lessons we learn from this event is the gentle character of Jesus and His willingness to receive even the weakest, most insignificant people who come to Him.
That is a very important point and we cannot help but notice it as we look at this text, but what I particularly want to point out is how Jesus calls us to value children and to learn from them.
