Jon continues to minister on the live KICY radio 'CareForce' broadcast while calling Alaska from California.
In this broadcast, we look more closely at our petition for 'Daily Bread' in our model prayer. The bread we are to pray for IS NOT food or provision for physical needs... it may be many things; nevertheless, it is, most importantly, GOD'S WORD, the HOLY SPIRIT, and CHRIST Himself.
Additionally, we should ask ourselves this very important question:
DOES MY PRAYER LIFE BRING ME TO AN AWARENESS THAT THE FATHER IS WATCHING ME AT EVERY MOMENT?
This is not to be a frightening or a threatening thought. If our purpose is to be conformed to the image of Christ (and it is according to Romans 8:28-29), and if we are commanded to abide in Christ as He abides in us (and we are according to John 15:4), then we should be growing toward that awareness of the attention of the Father and the pleasure of the Father in all that we think, say, and do... just as Jesus was ever aware of Him (John 8:29).
If we are growing in faith in the closet of prayer, the awareness of the Father's watchful eye should bring us unspeakable joy.
