“ Great Sermon! ” The gift of faith is given to all sinners, born of God, in the new birth. We learn that we were at one time darkness, and by the power of God we are made new creatures who come to hear the Gospel preached and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. We were one time darkness (the Bible reveals what those works and deeds were) but we have been translated to the kingdom of His dear Son, having been made children of Light by God; partakers of the Divine nature whose walk we are told is "the fruit of the Spirit in all goodness and truth". We read: "thy fruit is from me" and we boast not in ourselves but in God for "it is He hat worketh in us both to will and do of His good measure".
