Yet, no one said that missions, evangelism, church planting, and discipleship would be easy. In fact, the repeating pattern in the book of Acts is that when the Word of God is faithfully proclaimed, much opposition ensues. In today's passage, the Jewish false prophet Bar Jesus opposes Barnabas and Paul, but still the proconsul Sergius Paulus came to saving faith.
