So often when we as Christians are wronged by those who oppose us, we seek immediate recompense for their evil misdeeds.
However, Paul knows that one day, he, like the Psalmist, will be vindicated before God Almighty, and therefore needs not worry about 'fairness' in this life.
Indeed, God will right all wrongs, and vindicate His chosen people on that great Day, and punish with perfect justice all those who opposed Him and His Son.
Again we see the necessity of praying for the provision of the Holy Spirit for each other when we are facing persecution. Paul knows that their prayers will result in the Spirit's help as he awaits his trial.
The result: Paul knows that the Spirit will enable him to honor, or exalt, Christ in his body, whether by life or by death.
