“ Exactly what I needed ”
Both these sermons have helped me so much, theyve given me peace about where I am and the process I'm going through, while also admonishing. Great speaker I've never heard of him but I'll be downloading more. He's very personable, practical and straight forward yet interesting to listen to and excited about God's promises for us.

“ Interesting Sermon ”
I was quite interested in what Dr. Berg had to say, and I could definitely relate. However, it wasn't clear to me whether he meant "you either have it or you don't", or if he allowed for varying degrees. The Puritans, whom he quoted from, also speak frequently and familiarly of discouragement: even times of near-despair when they were only kept from worse by the candle of hope always left burning in true believers. Willem Teellinck has quite a lengthy and helpful section on that in "The Path of True Godliness", even explaining how God uses such disconsolacy for our good. The Bible, too, is full of this, especially in the Psalms. Often we have supernatural comfort, joy and confidence, but many times we pray in the words of Ps. 88, or others: and "long", "mourn", "weep", or cry out, "how long, Lord? Return!" And in the Song of Songs: "I searched for my Beloved, but I could not find Him," while at other times we shout, "I am my Beloved's and He is mine!" At any rate, those glimpses we get encourage us and give us a foretaste of what the perfect, joyful communion in Heaven will be like! I liked his point that we must pray that we will "abound more and more" (and indeed, we will be exceedingly motivated to do so if we have tasted the sweetness of such assurance)!

“ A must hear! ”
It's hard sometimes to rate sermons. To say that one is better than another. I would say though that this is probably the most incredible sermon that I have personally heard. The illumination that Dr. Berg speaks of is available to all. I can relate to his points about whether you would rather watch something on tv or a movie or spend time in God's word. When God is opening His word to you, there is nothing like it in this world. Illumination of the believer helps solve quite a few problems. It drives a desire to be more like Christ each day. I praise the Lord for Dr. Berg and the gift that he has been given to bring this truth home to us. Please listen to this one for an incredible blessing.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Everyone has to listen to this one; especially if you doubt God and can't quite take Him at His word concerning your salvation. I really and truly finally get it!! It is clear now. For a long time I couldn't see the difference between taking God at His word that I am saved and knowing it because His Spirit testifies with mine. I didn't realize there is a difference and that you can have one without the other, but that if you do the joy and assurance of salvation won't be present in your life in the kind of way Dr Berg is talking about. All I can say is Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for preaching this sermon and putting it online so I could hear it!!!
