Jabez Prayer Rally (John Underwood)1 Chronicles 4:9-10 There is not enough that could be said about prayer. Prayer is an essential to a growing and holy Christian life. Before us in our text is a man who found that prayer was the key that opens the wide the inexhaustible storehouse of God. His name is Jabez and we learned that he was a man that was "more honorable than his brethren." Jabez prayed, perhaps, the one of the most famous prayers ever prayed. Perhaps the only prayer better known the prayer of Jabez is the Lord's Prayer that Jesus taught His disciples. JABEZ asked for Four things1.BLESS ME. Enrich my life 2.ENLARGE MY TERRITORY. Enlarge my life3.LET YOUR HAND BE WITH ME. Empower my life 4.KEEP ME FROM HARM. Encompass my life.WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME GOD WORKED THROUGH YOU IN SUCH A WAY THAT YOU KNEW BEYOND DOUBT THAT GOD HAD DONE IT? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW MIRACLES HAPPEN? DO YOU WANT TO BE EXTRAVAGANTLY BLESSED BY GOD?He was a man that refused to settle for an ordinary life. He wanted "great and mighty things from God" and as our text tells us, "God granted him that which he requested."Help us to live a: more honorable,have his rightful position over our work,make us fruitful,keep us from evil and harm.(had to use a backup camera)
