Even though David was speaking of his own circumstance, every bit of Psalms 22 was about the Lord Jesus. In the first half we see the separation and silence. Now Jesus declares that God the Father has risen God the Son. We no longer see Christ on a cross; we begin to see Him on His throne. We see Christ in His resurrection, His rejoicing and His rule. Those who fear and desire Him are in awe and are the ones who praise and bow before Him. As a consequence of the resurrection the kingdom of God resides within the believer.
