The tribulation period will be a terrible time to be alive for those who have become followers of Christ during this time. For like the rest they too will experience the effects of many of the devastating judgments . They will be living under the Antichrist. Their refusal to receive his mark will cut them off from buying or selling. And their refusal to bow in worship of the Antichrist may result in imprisonment and death. Facing pressure from family and friends to give up and join in, their faith will be severely tested. To them, and to us today, God gives them a little pep talk! Genuine believers endure, kept by the promise and power of God. They endure by keeping God's commandments and by keeping faith in Jesus. And what motivates them is the prospect of heaven. For those who die in the Lord will experience both rest from their labors and rewards for their service. So, the challenge for them and for us today is not to give up or give in, but to continue on believing and serving for something far better is waiting for us!
