This presupposes that Jesus is indeed actively making Himself known. Jesus was winning theological conflict with the religious leaders. b. The second presupposition is that if people are going to come to Jesus, they must be listening. The people, by the providence of God, are enabled to be knowledgeable of what is happening. **Never be satisfied with your knowledge of Jesus. Continue to grow in your knowledge and affections for Jesus. 2. Simply hearing Christ is not enough. Not all who hear will come. The people that come to Jesus are people that have some sort of desire for Him. For some reason, they need Him. Christ will satisfy the soul that hears and needs Him.
