This is the first of four messages that give us a glimpse of God. What stands out when we read Exodus 33-34 is that Moses had a very special relationship with Yahweh. He desired to see God's glory, and specifically requested this special privilege. What is even more interesting is that Yahweh answered his request, though He had to do it in a very limited way. True believers today are also looking forward to seeing the glory of God, as Jesus Christ will soon return in all of His splendor. His glorious appearing is referred to as the "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13). This first message will discuss what Moses was allowed to see and how God worked with Moses to impact God's chosen people.
