When Jesus knocked on your heart's door did He get in? many have made great cases of head knowledge for their salvation but never let Jesus in their heart. The pews have been filled with those who have made professions of faith but didn't exercise that faith in opening their heart's door. While this verse is great for salvation it is aimed at those who are supposed to already be saved. Perhaps we have allowed Him in but only in so far. Have we allowed Him to be on the throne of our heart? Have we started to hear what He has to say? We need to not only be saved but have Him reigning in our lives. He will keep on knocking until we let Him in or we get so bad He takes us home. But if we want to have a time, just let Him inside where He belongs. Just remember Jesus won't come in without our consent.
