Rebellious in a positive sense, rising above our human nature that is wanting to do its own thing. It is our natural response to get even, to retaliate. We need to disobey our natural response. Our flesh when injured by another wants to lash out. But as the Apostle Paul wrote, we are to give room to go give God the room to get His revenge, we are after all his possession (so it's His revenge to be had). But if we try to get revenge ourselves, we end up also getting the spanking. Bring the problem to the Lord. Let Him handle it. Getting even just puts both parties in the same place, on Gods' list. Punishment is not ours to give out nor for us to get happy over when the other party gets what is coming to them. Such things should break a Christians heart.
