Moses devotes himself to interceding for Israel... seeking atonement for their sins. The crush of the people's sin makes him long for a brush with the glory of God. Once assured of God's answer to his prayer and free to speak for himself he cries out, "Show me Your glory!" Free from the demands of the day he retreats into his affinity for God and His glory. And again the appitite to see God's glory was stirred in the mysterious work of intercession. There Moses encroached upon the glory of God's own atoning work and wanted to understand it better and to see the full glory of it. And one day he did!
