This sermon was a closing message on a Family Night Service at Bethany, in which the 5 members of the Bethany Gospel Singers gave their testimonies. (The group had been formed 30 years ago).
And what better way to end a testimony meeting than by looking at the testimony of a blind man who came face to face with the Lord Jesus Christ !
All testimonies have one thing in common - each person has had their lives impacted in a mighty way by the Lord Jesus Christ.
There are many things in this life that we are not sure about. But what a thrill to be able to say.....'one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.' (John 9:25)
No-one could argue this man out of what he had experienced. He knew what he was before he met Jesus - blind - and now he could see !
So it is with the Christian - we know what we were before we met the Lord Jesus - 'guilty, vile and helpless, we' - but we also know the change that has taken place, through His Grace.
