Homosexuals, etc., proclaim that "God made them the way they are." Others blame their sin on God's Providence, or His Sovereignty, or His supposed passivity in their sanctification. In the end, the world (and worldly believers) hates and shuns responsibility and accountability. It will bring in a new religion like psychology to redefine sin into a sickness. Or, theologically, so magnify God's side or role in sanctification (as seen in several, diverse, even opposing, movements and "isms"), as to allow man to feel especially holy for this magnification, while his own responsibility and accountability are sidelined, as well as other attributes of God. The series asks, "Why are so many Christians disobedient?" This is no time to tiptoe around the answers. We have given 7 reasons, including this sermon, that many Christians are disobedient. One or more of these answers will no-doubt ruffle some feathers. Open rebuke is better than the secret love that so many put forth today.
