In life, there are three seats that are available to us to sit in. Not Lazyboy's mind you, but attitudes that our minds occupy. Here in this story, we are shown all three: conflict, compromise, and commitment. The first is occupied by both the lost and carnal Christians (those who don’t have their eyes on God). Our second is the most comfortable of the chairs. we find those who like to straddle the fence sitting here, perhaps those who say one thing and do another or follow after popular opinion. Lastly is the third chair, the one that will cost you the most. It is filled with those doing what God wants them to do, that is to be committed to Him and His word.
