During my first year in Seminary, my wife and I house sat a mansion that was being renovated to give it the 'live-in' look to discourage thieves. But one cold February night, we heard glass break and knew we were not alone. We should have anticipated a break-n, but we didn't. Had we known the thief was coming, we would have made proper preparations! Jesus Christ said that no one knows the day or time of His return, but that He would come back like a 'thief in the night'. That is, Jesus Christ could come at any time or any give day. The New Testament teaches and Christians down through the centuries believed in the imminent return of Christ, that is He could come at any moment to snatch His bride, the church, away. IIt could be today! Would you be ready if He should come today? Are you trusting in Jesus Christ for your salvation, the forgiveness of your sins? Are you living a holy, godly life, involved in serving Him today? Are you ready for the return of Jesus today?
