Chapter 8 begins with the final seal being opened and transitioning to the second vision cycle of the 7 trumpets. The first 4 trumpets speak of judgment and plagues pertaining to the natural world. With the 5th trumpet we seek the work of the devil and his demons causing woe. In this second vision cycle we see especially God's judgment against the wicked (unbelievers) and also see that His judgment is not total until the Last Day (thus attempting to shake the unbelievers to repent of their sins).
