A lot of things have happened in the past 3 years. I look the world has changed for many. Several have lost jobs. Many had major medical issues arise. Many struggled with financial difficulties. The list goes on and on. So I expect that when I ask the question “How can this be happening?” that question will resonate in a very real way. I think we all recognize that what is being expressed by this question is at its very core a question of whether God is really in control or not. While we may not verbalize it, this question (or ones very similar) most likely does cross our minds. In this sermon I want us to look at a man that had similar questions and actually had the courage, perhaps we might even say the gall, to ask God what was going on. He actually challenged God's control of the situation that he found himself in and God answered his questions. The man is the prophet Habakkuk.
