Paul urges Christians to know joy experientially, because of Christ. In that, Christians can thrive in their rejoicing with exceeding joy, regardless the circumstances faced. Thus, because of the peculiarity and primacy of Christian joy, it must mark a permanent habit of joy, of possessing the right spirit and a right conduct of Christian life "always". The unchangeableness of Christian joy must be, because the source of joy; 'Christ' and our unchangeable relationship with Him; 'as Saints of our God', by grace. Therefore, we must rejoice in the Lord always.
