"If the Lord remains silent regarding our pleadings and infirmities, we must remember that He has done all things well. He has given us sufficient proof of His messianic reign. When catastrophes occur throughout our nation and the world, we can still affirm that He has done all things well.
Even if He slays us, as in the case of Job, and we face trials of various kinds, we can acknowledge that He has done all things well, and it can be well with our souls. Although bereavements await us, sicknesses are near, and pain is not far off, we recognize that He has done all things well. This reality is a testament to the fact that we serve the God of all comfort.
In times when the enemies of God surround us, we hold fast to the belief that He has done all things well. Even when we feel homesick for that heavenly country, we trust that He is doing all things well. When we are tested, tempted, and afflicted, we can confidently say that He does all things well." |
