They said it was a waste when the woman broke the alabaster box of very precious ointment and poured it over Jesus' head. Jesus said that she had anointed him for his burial. That fragrance was on his body when they beat him and drove nails in his hands and feet, and when they put his body in the tomb. It made a difference, and what she did was not forgotten, to this day. It is never a waste when a life is broken if the fragrance that comes forth makes a difference and brings honor and glory to God.
