This message covers the opening verses of Paul's letter to the Philippians. Though an apostle, Paul joyfully presents himself and Timothy as bond-slaves of Jesus Christ. He is serving God here by writing an encouraging letter to growing saints, especially aiming his message at the overseers and deacons. Paul desires God's continuing grace and relational peace within their fellowship. In this letter he thanks them for their gift, prepares them for his visit, supports them in the faith, warns them of false teaching and advises them to be unified.
