In Exodus 24, we see something truly amazing, Moses, Aaron, Joshua and the elders of Israel, and sitting down to have a meal with God, and then we watch as Moses goes up to the mountain to receive the 10 Commandants on two tables of stone. Contained in this account of the giving of the law, we also see demonstrated three classes of the born again Christian – called, chosen and faithful unto death.
"And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink." Exodus 24:10,11 (KJB) One of the great things we learn from rightly dividing and studying dispensations, is the character and nature of God as He is pleased to reveal Himself to His creation. In Exodus 24 we have the blood, the book, and the blessed hope all contained in type. One of the hallmarks of all believers in any dispensation is remaining 'faithful unto death', something absolutely true for the born again Christian living in the end of the Church Age. You are called and under the blood, chosen and testifying of salvation in Jesus Christ, and faithful in life and unto death. I believe there will be a persecution of Christians before the Pretribulation Rapture, and we would do well to remind ourselves of just what it is we've been left on this earth to do.
