In this passage Paul begins by telling us some comparisons between how the false apostles had treated the Corinthians, and how he had treated them. Then he goes on to list the various things that he had endured for the sake of the gospel. In comparing this with the book of Acts we learn about the inspiration of scripture. Though we cannot necessarily imitate Paul in all his suffering, we can imitate him in his care for the churches.
