Receiving God's grace is a possibility for anyone who hears the promise of God's forgiveness known as the Gospel and believes it. The Law of Moses was binding upon all Jews who lived under the Old Covenant dispensation, yet some were considered to be under Law and some were under God's grace. The former were those who believed their obedience to the Law of Moses was their access to salvation. The latter were those who trusted in God's promises rather than in their own adherence to the Law, but who nevertheless continued to obey the statutes of the Mosaic Law as best as they could. Anyone today who stops trusting in their own righteousness as the basis for their acceptance by God, and who receives Christ as their Savior according to the terms specified in the Bible, is no longer under Law but under grace. We are nevertheless still bound to obey the moral statutes of the entire Bible and the religious statutes of Christ's Law.
