After the second coming of Jesus there are two resurrections discussed in Revelation 20. The first is of those who have trusted God either during the time prior to Jesus first coming (Old Testament believers), those during and after HIs resurrection (New Testament believers, and finally those who became believers - and lost their lives for it - during the Tribulation). John says those who participate in this first resurrection are "blessed and holy ones" and will reign with Jesus (while Satan is bound) for 1000 years. At the end of this period of 100 years, Satan will be loosed from the abyss and all the other dead, which are innumerable to John, are raised to stand judgment before the Great White Throne of God. This is the second resurrection leading to the second death - the lake of fire reserved for Satan and his cohorts.
