SERMON INFO
Where did we get our Bibles? We got them from God. There are some who believe that the Bible has errors so that they do not have to believe in God's word. There are no contradictions in God's Holy Word. The most reliable manuscripts are sometimes copied more because they are more frequently used. This passage is consistent with the rest of scripture and has the sounding of an eyewitness account. The good news is that Christ came to save sinners. The standard that God commands, His law, condemns us and proclaims that we have sinned against God. Only God is good, everyone else has missed the mark. If we say to God, we will do as we please, and we want to do what we want to do, then we are not repentant and need a Savior. It is total delusion to think that because we are bent toward one sin or another that God made us that way. God sent Jesus so that we would not perish in our sin but that we would be saved from our sins. A person who does not even know God's standard will, if they live long enough, realize that they cannot keep their own standards. We have all violated God's commandments, our only hope is Jesus Christ. Whatever sin we are bent towards we need to leave that life of sin. Being tempted to fall into sin is not wrong, fulfilling the temptation is. We need to repent of our sin and trust Him while there is still time. Jesus came to save sinners.
