Here in these few words before us, Paul is as a watchman on the wall, sounding the alarm, and employing the only defense that is sufficient to protect the believers from the enemy invasion. He does so by issuing a warning, identifying an error, and administering the weapon of Gospel truth. And we today, just as the church then, need to hear this warning, identify this danger, and administer the gospel as our defense.
